Our Mission

My name is Achenef Asnake. I am a qualified and licensed tour and trekking guide, specialized in organizing and guiding tours for individuals and small groups. It is my passion to explore remote mountain villages and encounter my country’s unique peoples, lifestyles and cultures.

I was born in a remote area and grew up in Lalibela. I studied in Lalibela and then did my degree at Mekelle university in tourism management. Recently I studied German in Addis Ababa at Goethe Institute.

My passion is to bring people together, who are keen to learn about Ethiopian tribes and peoples, and their lifestyles and cultures. I consider it my mission to allow visitors to experience the real Ethiopia: how communities live together simply and happily, and in good harmony with nature. This means that we travel around in compliance with the guidelines of ecotourism and sustainability.

“Enat” is an Amharic word which means mother- I want to create a sustainable life and feed homeless kids and take care them as a mother. This is my mission and why I named my company Enat. 10% of what you pay from any package tour goes to homeless children and schoolchildren in remote areas
